  • Cardiff Yacht Club gets into gear for the Regatta-- A  link here  takes you through to the regatta homepage


  •  Cardiff Yacht Club gets a new Vistor's pontoon. This is accessable between B + C pontoons (the ones closer to the bridge) and is now dredged to 2.5m. This may be used by members during the week, however they are requested to use C pontoon walkway and the walkway between A +B over Weekends/ bank holidays. Members are reminded that mooring on the hammarhead is forbidden (except in an emergency).

  •  The committee are pleased to announce that Dredging has taken place next to the main slipway and behind A B Walkway, allowing for a visitors pontoon to be created.
  • Dave Howells Travels -- The link here is the latest update of Dave's travels in Gem


  • New Website -- The new website created by Evolved-IT Solutions, has been generated to match the Energy going into the club. James Clapham of Evolved IT and member of the Club said "There is a lot going on at Cardiff Yacht Club at the moment and it was felt that Site needed to reflect some of this energy and here is the result".


  • Fireworks go off with a Bang -- The Clubhouse was full on a cool autumn evening, as we watched a magnificent display from the Balcony. The display was an impressive sight lasting a full 25 mins, with an impressive crescendo at the end. Our commodore Ray Perriam has done us proud.


  • John Palmer -- John's ashes will be scattered on Saturday 8th November 2008 on the 2.30pm lock. All boats welcome - as many as possible please.

  • Red Diesel Update -- Please see link here regarding red diesel. It is a more comprehensive information package issued by the RYA showing how it will effect our members and the club.


  • Wednesday Night Entertainment -- Attached are details of Wednesday evening entertainment planned through the Autumn and Winter.


  • NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS -- A quantity of waste diesel oil was found in the compound skip by the waste company, in doing so the club has been charged £25.00 per drum with a warning that any further hazardous waste being found will make us not obeying our contract and the facility will be removed.
  • THEREFORE NO HAZARDOUS OR DOMESTIC WASTE IS TO BE DUMPED IN CLUB SKIPS OR BIFFA BINS.
    THERE ARE FACILITIES FOR WASTE OIL, OLD BATTERIES AND GAS BOTTLES SITUATED BETWEEN THE WINCH HOUSE AND NEW BOSUNS HUT
    ANY MEMBER FOUND DISREGARDING THIS MESSAGE WILL BE EXPELLED FROM THE CLUB
