Thinking about joining Cardiff Yacht Club

Detailed below are the formal requirements for joining, as well as the membership fees for 2010. You can pick up an application form at the club bar. If you've got any questions please email, contacts available here.

FORMAL REQUIREMENTS

Every Candidate for membership shall be proposed and, seconded by two fully paid up members to whom he is personally known.

Every candidate shall complete the Application Form and sign the INDEMNITY section giving their full name and address. The said form shall be prominently displayed in the Club premises for at least two days before the election of new member.

Every member wishing to bring a boat to the Club must hold a Current valid Certificate of Third Party Insurance on that boat and must produce it to the Treasurer or other nominated member of the Committee before the boat may be brought to the Club.

The Committee will levy additional charges to members for use of Club facilities such as moorings, slipway and compound.

The Committee shall take such action as it thinks necessary in the event of the conduct of any member being in their opinion detrimental to the club.

The Committee or the Club will not be responsible for any property of the members for accident, loss of life, injury or damage to any craft under any circumstance

All persons participate in Club events at their own risk.

Single Membership	£200.00
Family Membership	£220.00
Junior Members (18 to 25)	£60.00
Senior Citizens (over 65 and members for 5 years)	£60.00
Moorings up to 25 ft (£5/ft extra, Cats £30 extra)	£230.00
Main Compound (per month, first week free, 2nd to 4th week £30)	£50.00
Pontoon berth (one off)	£2300.00
Sailing Dinghy Compound	£65.00
Work Levy	£100.00
Bar Tokens	£50.00

Compound Fees are subject to VAT at the current rate.
