Once past the Outer Wrach west cardinal marker, which should be left to starboard, it is important to keep within the buoys through the dredged channel especially at low water.

All boats must contact Barrage Control on VHF channel 18 for information on locking in. They are also happy to give you safety information to assist with your passage through the channel. The locks can be closed for up to 4 hours on springs, so make sure you time your arrival carefully.

After leaving the locks into the bay you can head towards the big flyover. The visitors pontoon can be found just to the right of the bridge.

From the West
Turn off the motorway at junction 33 and head towards Cardiff Docks. Once you have crossed the flyover across the bay, turn off. Around the roundabout into Dudley Street and follow the road to the clubhouse.

From the North and East
Head for Newport Road, then turn into Fitzalan Place which takes you around the back of the Prison. Turn left down the Central Link dual carriageway and right into Hemmingway Road. Left into Bute Street. Follow Bute Street to the end and the road will take you right and past Techniquest. Up to the roundabout and left into Dudley Street which you follow round to the clubhouse.
